Ennesimo grande evento quello organizzato per i premi europei di quest’anno. Uno show trasmesso in diretta in 180 paesi, ispirato alle terme di Budapest e al Danubio, che attraversa la città, con palchi che sembravano galleggiare nell’acqua. A presentare lo spettacolo c’era Saweetie che si è esibita anche in alcuni dei suoi successi e ha animato l’evento a bordo piscina con coppe di champagne o confrontandosi con soldati ispirati a Squid Games in abiti rosa e mascherati. Sul palco anche Maluma, vincitore del premio “Best Latin” e gli Imagine Dragons, tornati agli Ema con il nuovo singolo “Enemy”.
Ed Sheeran è stato eletto Best Artist e la sua “Bad Habits” Best Song, mentre la conduttrice degli EMAs 2021, Saweetie, è Best New.
I BTS hanno fatto incetta di premi: Best Group, Best Pop, Biggest Fans e Best K-Pop.
Un altro successo internazionale ha incrociato la strada dei Måneskin in questo meraviglioso 2021 tutto d’oro per loro. La band romana è stata nominata miglior gruppo rock agli Mtv European Music Awards di Budapest. E’ la prima volta per l’Italia. Battuta la concorrenza di Coldplay, Foo Fighters e Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon e The Killers.
“In molti ci dicevano che non ce l’avremmo fatta con la musica. Beh, si sbagliavano”, ha dichiarato Damiano durante la consegna del premio sul palco di Budapest. “Siamo molto felici che il nostro messaggio sia uscito dalla nicchia e sia arrivato a tantissime persone”, ha commentato l’intera band.
